Rennah & Klajd’s wedding was a beautiful summer’s day on the river in Perth, such a gorgeous showcase for Klajd’s family who had travelled from Europe for the special day.. It was one of those lovely weddings where people are so quickly welcomed into the fold, I felt like an old family friend within minutes.. Rennah and her family & bridal party were so welcoming.. The Old Swan Brewery is such a unique & perfect venue for a wedding, and it was great to work with the lovely Suzy Thom again, and catch up with gorgeous Heather & Justin.. Like almost everyone I know Rennah & Klajd aren’t big “PDA people”, but with such a lovely bridal party and such a relaxed day they quickly were at ease in front of the camera we got some fabulous photos at UWA and along the river, and even a few kisses for the camera :-). Speeches were a beautiful mix of laughter and tears and reminder to spend as much time with your loved ones as you can.. To the new Mr and Mrs Vangjeli, I was you a very very happy lifetime of adventures, travel, family and love xx Mel

Every year come December I think to myself, “Get your end of year review ready, have it ready for the start of January, think what to write, stop talking to yourself :-)”.. Then Christmas comes, we go on holidays, and it hits mid January.. But I love a year in review.. Its such a lovely thing to do, to look back at a year of love, of laughs, of tears, of prettiness, of people who chose to celebrate their life with their family & friends.. It never fails to make me cry, laugh, and go and hug Dean & the kids.. I hope it brings you joy too xx Mel

Joondalup Resort is holding their Wedding Open Day on Sunday 15th January from 1pm til 8pm. It is a fabulous chance to see the resort all “dressed up” for weddings with their beautiful ballrooms, poolside marquee and ceremony areas set up for weddings. For the first time we will be exhibiting in the stunning Lakeside Ballroom as a preferred wedding photographic supplier of the resort. This absolutely makes me day for three reasons. One; because their wedding coordinator Alison is so lovely to work with, she is not only super professional and organised, but just the nicest and calmest person on the wedding day.. And reason two, is that the resort is so pretty, with so many lovely areas to photograph, and fun to head around on the golf buggies with the bridal party. And reason three, the combination of garden ceremonies, gorgeous reception spaces and accommodation on site has provided me with some of my most fun & relaxed weddings with guests & bridal parties from far & wide and all over the globe. Thinking about getting ready for next Sunday has made me put together a little showcase of some favourite weddings from the resort over the past few years.. We have a super special offer for all couples who meet us at the Joondalup Wedding Open Day for 2017 so I hope to see you there! xx Mel

Tara & Chris’ wedding was New Year’s Day, and has fast become my favourite way to start a new year. It was a gorgeous wedding at Harold Boas Gardens in West Perth with the ceremony followed by drinks, canapes and cake with close family & friends.. It was such a relaxed & enjoyable way to spend the afternoon and everyone seemed to be old friends by the conclusion.. And then off to Hyde Park and the lane ways of Mt Lawley for some photos before Tara & Chris were whisked away for their honeymoon (with a free we literally JUST got married upgrade to first class I’m hoping!!).. These two were a dream to photograph, not only because they are both super good looking, but because they love for each other radiates, and makes them so comfortable in each others’ arms.. So a very big congratulations to you both.. Lots of love xx Mel

Meagan & Ben’s wedding was at the beautiful Sandalford Winery last Sunday.. It was a wedding filled with family joy, and laughter sang out all afternoon and evening from their loved ones, with games galore and good times amongst old & new friends.. It was so clear to see how much Meagan & Ben are perfect for each other.. So often they would burst into laughter at the same time, or catch each other’s eye at the same moment or lean in for a kiss together.. It was the sort of the wedding that makes you hug your mum, kiss your husband and tell your best friend you love them.. Wishing the new Mr & Mrs Hamblin a very Merry (and hopefully snowy white!) Christmas and the biggest of wishes for happily & laughingly ever after xx Mel
