On a cold & blustery night in Perth it brings me great joy to post this most fabulous warm, sunny & fabulous tropical wedding of Emma, Rowan (and the Kenworth) from Broome last weekend.. Having been lucky enough to already have photographed Emma’s sister’s wedding a few years ago I couldn’t say Yes fast enough when her & Rowan asked if I would photograph their wedding in the Kimberley. It was all the best things that weddings are, gorgeous, with the most beautiful flowers, styling & set-up at the magical Billi Resort.. but it was much more.. It was guests that had all travelled.. to help their loved ones celebrate their wedding.. It was friends who helped polished the truck til it gleamed, it was family who helped calm last minute nerves, it was old friends who flew across Australia & family who flew across the world.. It was best of friends who gave everyone big belly laughs at the reception, and it was the biggest of grooms who gave everyone tears at the ceremony.. To Em & Rowan & your family & friends, thank you for making me so welcome.. And to Mr & Mrs Kenworth, not Kenwood J, congratulations, may you have a lifetime of loving & looking after each other xoxo Mel
